Blake York came to functional and longevity medicine the long way — through nearly two decades at the bedside and in hospital leadership. His career began in 2007 in surgical intensive care and moved through cardiovascular medicine, vascular access, nursing resource management, and primary care before he turned to the question that now defines his practice: why do so many people feel unwell while their labs read “normal”?
A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Board Certified Anti-Aging Health Practitioner through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Blake pairs conventional medicine with evidence-based functional medicine to find and treat the root causes of chronic disease — with particular depth in metabolic health, hormone optimization, peptide therapeutics, and advanced laboratory diagnostics.
At Amsara Health, Blake brings a precision-medicine approach to women and men who want to optimize their health rather than simply manage disease. He also serves on The Pause Technologies’ Board of Medical Advisors, develops corporate wellness programs, and lectures on metabolic health and preventive medicine.
