What it is

Revive is Restore with a third active: acetyl hexapeptide-8 (SNAP-8), a peptide that mimics a fragment of the SNAP-25 protein involved in the muscle signaling behind expression lines. Applied topically it works at the surface to soften the look of forehead lines, crow’s feet, and lines around the mouth, without the frozen look of an injectable. Combined with GHK-Cu for collagen support and estriol for the hormone shift, it is the most complete formula we offer.

Who it is for

Everything Restore addresses, plus expression lines across the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes and mouth.

What is inside

Every ingredient on the label, and why it is there.

GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide)

A naturally occurring copper peptide that signals skin to rebuild. A 2026 systematic review in Aesthetic Surgery Journal found GHK-Cu increases type I collagen and glycosaminoglycan production and reduced wrinkle depth and volume versus controls in the clinical studies available, while calling for larger trials (Mokhtar et al., 2026).

Micronized estriol

A gentle, naturally occurring estrogen applied where skin needs it. Estrogen loss is the reason midlife skin thins, dries, and loses collagen: about 30% is lost in the first five years of menopause, then roughly 2% a year (American Academy of Dermatology). Topical estriol is prescribed to restore local support without the systemic dose of hormone therapy.

Acetyl hexapeptide-8 (SNAP-8)

A SNAP-25-mimicking peptide that works at the skin surface to soften the look of expression lines. In small clinical studies, a 10% formulation reduced measured wrinkle depth by 30–49% over four weeks, with no significant adverse effects reported (Zdrada-Nowak et al., Int. J. Mol. Sci., 2025). It does not act like an injectable, and it does not freeze expression.

Niacinamide (vitamin B3)

Supports the skin barrier, evens tone, and calms redness. A workhorse ingredient that helps the actives above do their job on comfortable skin.

Sodium hyaluronate and glycerin

Hydration that menopausal skin struggles to hold on its own. The AAD specifically recommends hyaluronic acid and glycerin for midlife dryness (AAD).

DMAE and panthenol

DMAE is used for its firming, skin-tightening feel; panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) soothes and supports repair.

Biopeptide biocosmetic base

A pharmacy-grade cream base formulated to carry peptides into the skin while leaving a soft, non-greasy finish under makeup or SPF.

What to expect

Consistency matters more than quantity. Here is a realistic timeline.

Weeks 1–2

Hydration and comfort improve; skin feels smoother to the touch.

Weeks 3–6

Expression lines look softer. This is the window in which acetyl hexapeptide-8 studies measured a 30–49% reduction in wrinkle depth.

Weeks 8–12

Firmness, thickness, and overall texture improve as GHK-Cu and estriol support collagen. Results vary from person to person.

How to use

  • Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry skin on the face and neck once or twice daily, or as your provider directs.
  • In the morning, follow with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Peptide and estriol formulas work best on protected skin.
  • Keep the cream out of your eyes. Wash your hands after applying.
  • Store at room temperature, 68–72°F, and protect from light. The airless jar keeps the formula stable without preservatives you do not need.
  • Use within the beyond-use date printed on your jar, and request a renewal through your portal about two weeks before you run out.

Questions about Revive

Is acetyl hexapeptide-8 a topical alternative to injectables?

It is often described that way, but the honest answer is that it softens the appearance of expression lines at the skin surface; it does not relax muscle the way an injectable does. Many patients use it between or instead of injectable appointments.

Can I use Revive around my eyes?

Apply along the orbital bone and crow’s feet, keeping the cream out of the eyes themselves. Your provider may suggest a dedicated eye product in future.

Who should not use Revive?

The same guidance as Restore applies because Revive contains estriol: not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding, and generally not for women with a history of estrogen-sensitive cancer unless a provider has decided otherwise.

How long does one jar last?

A 30 mL jar lasts about 90 days when applied as directed, a pea-sized amount once daily. Applying twice daily, or extending to the neck and chest, uses it faster, closer to 45 to 60 days. Your provider will set the regimen that fits your skin. Reorders are requested through the Amsara Patient Portal and ship free in Arizona for members and non-members.

Important safety information

For topical use only. Prescription only. These creams are compounded medications: they are prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy for an individual patient based on a prescription from a licensed provider. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA has not evaluated them for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Your Amsara provider will decide whether a formula is appropriate for you.

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Formulas containing estriol are generally not appropriate for women with a history of estrogen-sensitive cancer, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or blood clots unless your provider directs otherwise. Avoid the eye area and broken skin. Stop use and contact your provider if redness, itching, or irritation develops. Store at room temperature (68–72°F) and protect from light. Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands after applying and avoid transferring the cream to children or partners.
