RX ONLY COMPOUNDED FOR YOU
What it is
Restore pairs the GHK-Cu copper peptide with micronized estriol, a gentle estrogen applied directly to facial skin. Falling estrogen is the reason midlife skin thins, loses water, and sheds collagen quickly in the first years of menopause. Restore is for women who want to address that cause, not only the symptom, with a low, local dose their provider has judged appropriate.

Who it is for
Thinning, dryness, and crepiness that arrived with perimenopause or menopause. Addresses the hormone shift directly.
What is inside
Every ingredient on the label, and why it is there.
GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide)
A naturally occurring copper peptide that signals skin to rebuild. A 2026 systematic review in Aesthetic Surgery Journal found GHK-Cu increases type I collagen and glycosaminoglycan production and reduced wrinkle depth and volume versus controls in the clinical studies available, while calling for larger trials (Mokhtar et al., 2026).
Micronized estriol
A gentle, naturally occurring estrogen applied where skin needs it. Estrogen loss is the reason midlife skin thins, dries, and loses collagen: about 30% is lost in the first five years of menopause, then roughly 2% a year (American Academy of Dermatology). Topical estriol is prescribed to restore local support without the systemic dose of hormone therapy.
Niacinamide (vitamin B3)
Supports the skin barrier, evens tone, and calms redness. A workhorse ingredient that helps the actives above do their job on comfortable skin.
Sodium hyaluronate and glycerin
Hydration that menopausal skin struggles to hold on its own. The AAD specifically recommends hyaluronic acid and glycerin for midlife dryness (AAD).
DMAE and panthenol
DMAE is used for its firming, skin-tightening feel; panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) soothes and supports repair.
Biopeptide biocosmetic base
A pharmacy-grade cream base formulated to carry peptides into the skin while leaving a soft, non-greasy finish under makeup or SPF.
What to expect
Consistency matters more than quantity. Here is a realistic timeline.
Weeks 1–2
Noticeably better hydration; skin feels less tight and papery.
Weeks 4–8
Texture and tone look more even; crepiness around the cheeks and jaw softens.
Weeks 8–12
Skin looks thicker and more resilient as estriol and GHK-Cu support collagen together. Results vary, and your provider will check in on how you are responding.
How to use
- Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry skin on the face and neck once or twice daily, or as your provider directs.
- In the morning, follow with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Peptide and estriol formulas work best on protected skin.
- Keep the cream out of your eyes. Wash your hands after applying.
- Store at room temperature, 68–72°F, and protect from light. The airless jar keeps the formula stable without preservatives you do not need.
- Use within the beyond-use date printed on your jar, and request a renewal through your portal about two weeks before you run out.
Questions about Restore
Is topical estriol the same as hormone replacement therapy?
No. Restore delivers a low dose of estriol to facial skin for a local effect. It is not a substitute for systemic hormone therapy, and it does not treat hot flashes, sleep, or mood. Many patients use it alongside HRT; your provider will advise.
Who should not use Restore?
Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and generally women with a history of estrogen-sensitive cancer, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or blood clots, unless a provider has specifically decided otherwise.
Will estriol affect my hormone labs?
Topical facial estriol at this dose is intended to act locally. Tell your provider you are using it so any lab results are interpreted correctly.
How long does one jar last?
A 30 mL jar lasts about 90 days when applied as directed, a pea-sized amount once daily. Applying twice daily, or extending to the neck and chest, uses it faster, closer to 45 to 60 days. Your provider will set the regimen that fits your skin. Reorders are requested through the Amsara Patient Portal and ship free in Arizona for members and non-members.

Important safety information
For topical use only. Prescription only. These creams are compounded medications: they are prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy for an individual patient based on a prescription from a licensed provider. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA has not evaluated them for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Your Amsara provider will decide whether a formula is appropriate for you.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Formulas containing estriol are generally not appropriate for women with a history of estrogen-sensitive cancer, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or blood clots unless your provider directs otherwise. Avoid the eye area and broken skin. Stop use and contact your provider if redness, itching, or irritation develops. Store at room temperature (68–72°F) and protect from light. Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands after applying and avoid transferring the cream to children or partners.
